In My Opinion: Understanding the clinician’s needs with Brad Naeymi, Director of Sales

The fact that the letters “IMO” don’t just stand for Intelligent Medical Objects isn’t lost on this medical coding company. Indeed, we believe it’s high time IMO embraced our text-slang status, and we’re doing just that with In My Opinion, a monthly Ideas series featuring Q&As with IMO employees. The sales team’s Brad Naeymi takes the February spotlight.

How long have you worked at IMO, and what is your role?

I started working at IMO in 2010. I’m the Director of Sales for the Growth Team.

How does your job at IMO add value to our clients?

I am so passionate about helping doctors, who are the true beneficiaries of what IMO does every day. It all starts with the physicians who need our technology to more easily navigate the EHR – a task that has become a big part of their job.

As vendors and salespeople, if we approach the clinicians we meet with humility and a willingness to listen to their needs, we will be in a better position to help them address the problems that stand in their way.

In my current role, I am looking at new markets and market intelligence to see what’s next for IMO and how we can continue to impact health professionals, which is very exciting.

It was many years ago when, for the first time, I heard a physician say that IMO’s offerings truly reduced the patient’s care risks and empowered their caregivers.

How has working at IMO changed your perspective as a patient, an employee, a manager, or otherwise?

When I worked in pharma, doctors would sometimes be skeptical of what we were discussing. At IMO, I have more opportunities to really talk with them about their needs when it comes to health IT. It’s given me a new appreciation for what they do and how much technology can help them combat burnout and the administrative mistakes that have been a problem for a long time.

Tell us about a moment, an exchange, or experience you had at IMO that made you realize, “I’m in the right place.”

It was many years ago when, for the first time, I heard a physician say that IMO’s offerings truly reduced the patient’s care risks and empowered their caregivers because we allow them to accurately document their clinical intent and orders. Since then, I’ve heard over and over that IMO’s offerings save time and improve safety and accuracy. ROI was just the icing on the cake.

Also, being involved with the recent evolution of IMO’s culture, product development, and services has made me more assured that “I’m in the right place.” I love IMO.
