The road to becoming a data scientist was a long and winding one for Emma Foley-Beaver. Since starting at IMO Health in 2012, she’s held a number of roles, from product implementation to support to building releases. But all along, she says, “data science was calling.” In our latest In My Opinion video, Emma shares how IMO Health’s tuition support program helped make her masters degree a reality and what it was like to help clients make the midnight transition from ICD-9 CM to ICD-10 CM.

Emma Foley-Beaver joined IMO Health in October of 2012 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College. In May of 2021, she completed her master's degree in Data Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Prior to her current role on the Data Science team, she worked on Implementation, Technical Services, and Global Customer Services. Based in Boston, Emma enjoys birdwatching with her husband Nathaniel, knitting, and general geekery.
