For all IMO positions, if you live in the Greater Chicagoland Area, Houston, TX, or Roseville, CA, you’ll be expected to work from any IMO office 2 days per week. 

IMO is looking for a Business Development Manager to win accounts and grow revenue through net new business to establish Intelligent Medical Objects as a leader in data quality in the Life Sciences, Payor, and Healthcare Tech markets.

In this role, you will be responsible for targeting and breaking into new organizations, identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers, and executing strategic plans and processes to achieve sales targets.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a proven track record of sales success, preferably breaking into new markets and representing SaaS product offerings to help solve data quality issues in non-provider markets. You will have expertise in a needs-based/consultative approach to selling and experience constructing unique value propositions and deals by aligning the client's requirements to the products and services of Intelligent Medical Objects. You will demonstrate a "roll up your sleeves" attitude, doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
What you'll do:
  • Efficiently identify, qualify, progress, and close net-new sales opportunities in Life Sciences, Payor, and/or HealthTech markets
  • Manage, and execute our sales plans to achieve revenue goals for data quality products including Melax Tech NLP, IMO Precision Normalize and IMO Precision Sets
  • Develop and execute strategic plans and processes to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Develop client engagement plans with clear objectives for all customer calls and meetings
  • Create effective sales presentations and collateral
  • Build and manage revenue pipeline
  • Own and maintain the business forecasts, providing confidence and predictability to sales leadership
  • If appropriate collateral doesn’t exist, will create ‍
What you'll need:
  • 7+ years of enterprise-level sales or business development experience selling SaaS solutions - any NLP/AI sales experience is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience selling technology solutions into Life Sciences, Payor, or HealthTech organizations
  • Proven success targeting, developing leads, building pipelines, creating proposals, and closing accounts to drive subscription revenue streams
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels, including C-level leadership
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
  • Hands-on and the ability to succeed without a large support infrastructure
  • Resourceful with the ability to find answers to questions and deal with objections
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about the business ‍
  • Working knowledge/proficiency using Salesforce
