Technical Program Manager

Remote
Enterprise Project Management
Full-Time
Research shows that women and underrepresented groups only apply to jobs only if they think they meet 100% of the qualifications on a job description. IMO is committed to considering all candidates even if you don’t think you meet 100% of the qualifications listed. We look forward to receiving your application!

Work that is meaningful. A job that has impact. Colleagues that inspire. That’s what you’ll find at Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO), a growing health IT company creating clinical terminology and insights solutions that are used by more than 740,000 US physicians and 4,500 US hospitals to power better patient care and support meaningful analytics.

The Technical Program Manager role influences the delivery of the most important product and technology programs in our company. You’ll be key in managing technical programs from inception to launch, by playing a key cross-functional coordination role to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and drive day to day activities.

This role is designed for a highly motivated individual, with strong software delivery and stakeholder management experience that is both broad and deep - from high-level objectives (seeing the big picture) to low-level detail (execution and delivery). Effective communication is a must as this person will offer guidance and recommendations to senior leadership as well as clients in order to achieve product objectives.

Please note, if you live in the Greater Chicagoland Area, Houston, TX, or Roseville, CA, you’ll be expected to work from an IMO office 2 days per week.
What You'll Do:
  • Technical Program and Delivery Management:
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering delivery leaders to understand and bring new revenue-generating products to market quickly.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (Product Management, Product Development, Growth, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Enterprise IT) to apply and execute IMO’s end-to-end Product Delivery Lifecycle.
  • Facilitate and participate in program increment planning and execution ceremonies, including roadmap prioritization, capacity planning, dependency management, delivery timeline proposals, and scope commitments.
  • Navigate and break down blockers by identifying risks, devising mitigation plans, and escalating issues and impact to leadership as necessary.
  • Champion reporting activities and clear and transparent communication via executive readouts, KPI tracking, scheduled or on-demand status or cost reports, while instilling a sense of shared accountability across teams.

  • Early Mover Implementation Management:
  • Partner with growth, product management and engineering leaders to plan, manage and successfully execute adoption of IMO’s latest set of innovative product offerings with strategic customer accounts.
  • Interface directly with customers, serving as a single point of contact for the engagement, coordinate working sessions, triage questions, requests, escalations and help to set, monitor, and maintain stakeholder expectations.
  • Report status of Early Mover Implementations on a recurring basis to IMO leadership by identifying key accomplishments, progression toward scheduled project plan, risks, issues, KPIs and key pieces of feedback.
  • Communicate and monitor resolution of customer-reported feature/enhancement requests, issues and defects with product and engineering leaders while highlighting sense of urgency and priority.

  • Portfolio Management Operations Support:
  • Centralize communication and maintain relevant program data by applying program management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, PPM Pro, and Tableau.
  • Support financial management activities such as validating time/costs associated to an initiative, maintaining accurate rates and team assignments, and monitoring distribution of operational and product development costs.
What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of hands-on project or program management and demonstrated track record delivering complex projects and products to market quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong (internal) stakeholder and (external) customer management skills
  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced agile environment and ability to quickly respond, pivot and adapt to changes in direction.
  • Exposure to established technology and product departments with mature program management processes and standards for both Agile and waterfall project methodologies.
  • Exceptional spoken and written communication skills and ability to tailor and translate messaging to technical, non-technical and leadership audiences.
  • Motivation to pursue solutions and solve problems independently, especially when the problems may be ambiguous or complex.
  • Equal excitement to understand the big picture but also dive into the details.
  • Your voice (whether it’s a loud one or a quiet one). We believe in communicating. Ideas, needs, questions, concerns, good jokes.. Remember when we said we welcome your point of view? We meant it.
  • Healthcare IT experience is a bonus
What We'll Give You:
  • The space to be innovative and collaborative with your peers and team members.
  • Training from the best. Collectively, we’ve got years of expertise in Healthcare and IT.
  • Part of a tight-knit team that supports each other, challenges each other, and is looking to make a significant impact in the industry.
  • Excellent benefits package, including competitive benefits through multiple health, dental, and vision plans, 100% company match up to 5% contribution on your 401(k), flexible PTO and hours, peak performance club trips, and more!
