When Michael Klozotsky joined IMO Health as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer in 2019, his first job was to build a team of creative thinkers to help bring his marketing vision to life. In 2020, COVID-19 put that creativity to the test – causing national shutdowns right as the organization was preparing for its biggest event of the year. Without the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s (HIMSS) conference, the marketing department had to regroup, pivot, and figure out how to adjust their strategy in order to deliver on critical metrics. In the shadow of a global pandemic, a new path was forged.

In a recent episode of the Modern Startup Marketing podcast, Michael sat down with host Anna Furmanov to talk about teambuilding, changing course in a crisis, and why cultivating a team that cares about one another isn’t just a good human thing to do, it’s a smart business strategy as well.
