With an estimated 13,000 health IT trade shows taking place this year in the US alone, it can be difficult to decide which events are worth attending. Overwhelmed? Not to worry. Lauren Stockl, IMO’s Manager of Trade Shows and Events, is explaining the key goals and target audiences for the biggest health IT events and trade shows below. Presented by HLTH, the ViVE trade show combines the power of the buzzy nature of HLTH conference with the gravitas of the well-respected College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). The event attracts digital health executives and senior leaders. Frequent discussions include the business and transformation of healthcare systems. ViVE promises an immersive environment for interactive learning, networking, and collaboration.

ViVE will take place March 26-29, 2023, in Nashville, TN.

The Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Global Surgical Conference and Expo brings together thousands or perioperative professionals for four days of education and networking. Seventy live educational sessions are offered – with content ranging from rapid-fire talks to in-depth workshops – providing top-notch education for perioperative nurses.

AORN Global Surgical Conference and Expo will take place April 1-4, 2023, in San Antonio, TX.

Becker’s Hospital Review hosts events throughout the year that attract the who’s who of healthcare. Whether you’re interested in revenue cycle management or the business and operations of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), Becker’s has an event for you. Each event hosts up to 12 hours of educational content a day, and the conference is known for featuring prominent speakers from both inside and outside of healthcare. The upcoming 13th Annual Meeting features Martha Stewart, Larry Bird, Mark Cuban, and Earvin “Magic” Johnson as speakers.

Around for 60 years, this event is the biggest – and arguably most influential – health information technology conference in the country. In 2022, HIMSS brought together over 30,000 HIT professionals and more than 1,000 exhibitors from all walks of the healthcare ecosystem. This is the place for vendors to meet with their peers. Additionally, HIMSS consistently offers strong networking opportunities, quality educational offerings, and an interesting lineup of speakers.

HIMSS23 will take place April 17-21, 2023, in Chicago, IL.

The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Annual Conference is the healthcare conference to attend if financials are your biggest concern. Educational programming covers everything from accounting and finance, to payment and care delivery models, to emerging technologies.

HFMA will take place June 25-28, 2023, in Nashville, TN.

A relative newcomer, HLTH is making a splash with both attendees and vendors alike. One of the most technologically forward events in the space, the event focuses on innovation and transformation within healthcare. All attendees have access to a digital platform that opens weeks before the event, which allows participants to connect with other attendees well ahead of the event itself.

HLTH2023 will take place October 8-11, 2023, in Las Vegas, NV.

The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) gathers health information professionals from all areas of the industry for four days of panels, networking, and fun. How to ensure that health information is accurate, complete, and accessible to patients and providers is a frequently discussed topic.

AHIMA23 Conference will take place October 8-11, 2023, in Baltimore, MD.

The American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) hosts multiple events that culminate the organization’s Annual Symposium every November. The conference is highly academic and focuses on the research and practice of biomedical informatics. Everyone from government officials to decorated academics comes to AMIA to share their research insights around leveraging health information. Discussing cutting-edge technologies is also a given.

The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual meeting is the place to experience the latest innovations, technologies, and research breakthroughs that are directing the future of radiology. It’s the premier forum for radiology professionals and industry partners to network and view the latest advances in the field.

RNSA Annual Meeting will take place November 26-30, 2023, in Chicago, IL.
