Samantha Spencer, MD

Dr. Samantha Spencer is a clinical informaticist with extensive experience advancing cancer reporting, clinical data standards, and interoperable data exchange. She has supported national initiatives with the College of American Pathologists (CAP) electronic Cancer Protocols, the CDC‑National Program for Cancer Registries, and the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) cancer staging classification. Board certified in Clinical Informatics and Emergency Medicine, Samantha earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed combined emergency and internal medicine training at Christiana Care in Newark, Delaware. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Chicagoland, spending time with her cats, and revisiting well‑crafted sci‑fi worlds – particularly those set in a galaxy far, far away.
