Dr. Majid Rastegar Mojarad is a Senior Staff NLP Scientist at IMO where he leads the delivery of life science solutions. Prior to IMO, he served as a Senior AI Applied Scientist and a Natural Language Processing Scientist at Pieces, where he played a key role in product development. Dr. Mojarad has over 12 years of experience working in healthcare and biomedical informatics. He was a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Siemens Healthineers, held various informatics roles at Mayo Clinic, and worked as a Research Specialist at Marshfield Clinic. Dr. Mojarad earned his PhD in Biomedical and Health Informatics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where his dissertation focused on using text data to identify and prioritize drug repositioning candidates. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, gardening, and hiking.
