The Senior Director, Clinical Informatics is a strategic and operational role focused on the incorporation of clinical and
informatics principles and knowledge across the spectrum of IMO’s business. He/She is also responsible for the leadership
and development of IMO’s clinical terminology as well as the data modeling and structural foundation that terminology is
developed upon.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all operational aspects of Clinical terminology development, including ongoing tracking of applicable performance metrics and quality indicators
  • Responsible for best practices development around clinical informatics-related standards for channel integration and customer implementation
  • Responsible for content modeling to support a wide variety of product use cases
  • Oversees and directs project ownership for clinical terminology projects including analysis, clinical overview, and communication with customer and IMO business owners
  • Serves as an escalation point and resource for partners and cross functional groups to achieve deliverables
  • Responsible for management of data management and clinical operations teams in review of clinical data; provides guidance on issues/queries as needed and implements risk management concepts as appropriate
  • Creates, manages, measures, and reports timelines for milestone deliverables
  • Manages/mentor direct reports and team members, and perform performance appraisals as assigned
  • Participates as clinical informatics lead in assessment of M&A prospects
  • Maintain engagement in professional communities and domain knowledge – and have the same expectation for the broader clinical informatics team
  • Participates in executive decision making, strategic planning, and tactical meetings
Requirements
  • 7+ years health informatics experience
  • 7+ years clinical knowledge
  • Experience managing teams of 20 or more people (requiring at least one to two levels of reporting)
  • Technical skills sufficient to understand the structure of IMO’s content databases and processes
  • Preferred to have hands-on clinical experience
