Responsibilities
  • Coordinate sprints, and facilitate scrum ceremonies (daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective).
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it.
  • Be the point of contact for external communications from customers or stakeholders.
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration among team.
  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline by helping the team focus delivery on high-value increments.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Identify impediments for the team, work to resolve them collaboratively and effectively shield the team from distractions outside the sprint.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur during the sprint.
  • Coach team members in self-organizing, implementing Agile practices, and higher Scrum/Agile maturity.
  • Guide stakeholders and management to adhere to Scrum process.
  • Collaborate effectively with product owners for management, planning and estimation of Product backlog and unplanned requests.
  • Establish metrics and provide empirical visibility for the team’s sprint velocity.

Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in a scrum master role. 
  • Experience working with multiple software development and operations teams. 
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement). 
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills. 
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability. 
  • Outstanding organizational skills. 
  • Scrum master certification
