Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) (Rosemont, IL) seeks an Enterprise Architect to lead the technology team to help design and create high quality solutions that support 90% of U.S. clinicians. The Enterprise Architect will provide technical leadership, act as a subject matter expert and a mentor for engineers/teams and perform the necessary analysis and design tasks related to the development of enterprise technical architecture, aligned with IMO’s business strategy. Specific responsibilities include: work closely with Product Owners and Product Managers to understand customer and client requirements and design solutions for new and existing products and services; responsible for reliable systems design and alignment across the organization including scalability and capacity planning; analyze technology issues and propose short, mid and long-term solutions, review proposed technical solutions from product development teams; translate business needs into technical solutions; provide input into and own part of the business’s technical strategy, work with other senior leaders to propose technical solutions and assist in ROI analysis; assist IT in capacity planning/systems architecture; work with internal and external customers, serve as a liaison between the Business/Product and Operations, and help defining scalable solutions to business problems through reasoned application of technology; evaluate technologies and recommend software tools to management, and perform current technology assessment on an on-going basis to determine areas of improvement; uphold and improve best practice processes, standards and controls. In addition, the Enterprise Architect will utilize the following software and hardware tools in the performance of their duties: Application stack: C#, JavaScript, IIS; Database: Dynamo DB, Datastore; Continuous Delivery/DevOps: TFS, Git; Cloud: AWS, Lambda/Serverless, pub/sub, CloudFront, SQS/SNS, Kubernetes Engine, ELB, and Fargate. Position requires occasional travel within the U.S.
 
Position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related engineering degree, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Technology Specialist, Associate Operations Manager – IT IS, Senior ALM Consultant, Senior Consultant, Senior Architect, or similar software engineering and software architecture (SOA) position. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: analyzing and designing tasks related to the development of enterprise technical architecture; working with Google Cloud Platform; evaluating technologies for technology strategy and assist in ROI analysis; assisting in scalability and capacity planning; working with senior technology leaders to propose technical solutions and help craft architecture and technology roadmap; working with product management and product planning; working with internal and external customers on technical solutions; and assisting development teams with design and product architecture. Specific experience must also include 3 years with each of the following: working with Continuous Delivery/DevOps practices; being responsible for reliable system design and alignment across the organization; acting as a subject matter expert and mentor for engineers and teams; working with JavaScript, Node.JS, and C#; working with AWS such as Fargate, Lambda, SQS/SNS, ELB, Pub/sub, and DynamoDb; and working with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Git. Must be willing to occasionally travel within the U.S.
